The Lead - Internal Control will be responsible for designing, implementing, evaluating, and maintaining effective internal control systems to ensure compliance with legal regulations and internal processes, safeguard company assets, and support the achievement of business objectives. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, experience in risk management and internal control, as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills. Preference will be given to candidates with experience at leading audit firms and a background in operational control, especially within the financial services, banking, or payment intermediary sectors.

  • Design and Development: 
    • Participate in building, standardizing, and updating internal control procedures, regulations, and policies to align with business operations and applicable legal requirements;
    • Collaborate with departments to identify, assess, and propose control measures for new or existing business processes;
  • Assessment and Monitoring: 
    • Conduct periodic and ad-hoc audits and evaluations to assess the effectiveness of the internal control system across the company, with a focus on operational controls, business processes, and operational risk points;
    • Identify weaknesses, potential risks, and gaps in control processes;
    • Monitor and report on compliance with internal policies, procedures, and relevant legal regulations;
  • Advisory and Improvement: 
    • Propose improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of the internal control system, mitigate risks, and optimize operations;
    • Coordinate with relevant departments to implement recommendations and track the resolution of identified issues;
  • Reporting and Analysis: 
    • Prepare periodic and ad-hoc reports on internal control activities, findings, recommendations, and remediation progress;
    • Analyze control results to identify trends, risks, and areas for improvement;

  • Education: 
    • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Auditing, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields;
  • Experience: 
    • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in internal control, internal audit, or equivalent positions;
    • Strong preference for candidates with experience at Big 4 audit firms (Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG) or other reputable international auditing firms;
    • In-depth experience in operational control and business process control is a significant advantage;
  • Professional Knowledge: 
    • Solid understanding of internal control principles and risk management frameworks (e.g., COSO framework);
    • Comprehensive knowledge of legal regulations related to accounting, auditing, taxation, and industry-specific rules;
    • Strong understanding of the financial and banking industry, especially regulations and operations related to payment intermediaries, is a plus;
    • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and management software is an added advantage;
  • Skills: 
    • Analytical and Synthesis Skills: Ability to logically analyze problems, provide sharp insights, and recommend effective solutions;
    • Communication and Presentation Skills: Clear and effective communication with both management and staff; capable of writing well-structured reports;
    • Computer Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with SQL queries;
    • English: Proficient in English communication is a mandatory requirement.
